Natural History:

The butterflies of this species lay their eggs on leaves Marantaceae. Larvae spend the day hiding and feeding in twilight hours. The adults inhabit the understory of the forests and they fly close to the ground (Otero & Marigo, 1990).

Feeding Caterpillars:

In the Neotropic the cartepillars are recorded feed on plants of Heliconiaceae and Marantaceae.
