Natural History:
This species is rarely sampled in fruit-traps. Can be collected in the forest and also occurs in secondary forest. According to Brown (1992) Ectima thecla shows a similar behavior to the Hamadryas, but does not produce characteristic noise of "Cracker-butterflies".
