Natural History:

Specimen collected in forest by examining the vegetation. In the central Amazon was collected in the absence of army ant.

Distribution:
Brasil: Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia; Colombia; Costa Rica; Guyane française; Panamá; Trinidad and Tobago
Occurence Period:

July - December

Feeding Adult:

Observed on bird droppings (for other species see Austin & Mielke, 1997)

Feeding Caterpillars:

Aguna spp. has recorded as plant-host species of Annonaceae, Burseraceae, Erythroxylaceae, Leguminosae (Caesalpinioideae and Mimosoideae), Rutaceae, Styracaceae (see Beccaloni et al. 2008).
