Natural History:
In the guild frugivorous Catoblebia xanthus is very common species. Males and females of C. xanthus are collected by traps fruit, abundant in all months of the year. Abundance is greatest when the amount of precipitation decreases in central Amazonia. Often occurs in the understory, and rarely occurs in the forest canopy.
Pattern of wings is similar between males and females , but the males is easily distinguished by androconial structure.
