Natural History:

The species lives in forests and males can be seen sucking minerals from wet sand. Specimens follow the swarms of Eciton burchelli and feed on the droppings of the army-ant-following birds.

Bolivia; Brasil: Acre, Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Pará, Rondônia; Colombia; Guyane française; Trinidad and Tobago
Occurence Period:

February, March, May to October

On minerals from animal excreta
