Natural History:

Megeuptychia is a genus with only two species recorded in the Neotropics,  and the species M. monopunctata is recorded in Ecuador (Lamas, 2004).

Megeuptychia antonoe is a frugivorous species, and unlike of the most satyr, this species is almost exclusively collected in the forest canopy. In central Amazonia was rarely collected in traps in understory.

Feeding Adult:

Adulst feed on rotting fruit

Feeding Caterpillars:

In Costa Rica the caterpillars are recorded on Cyclanthaceae (Cyclanthus sp.) and Marantaceae (Calathea lutea),according compiled by Beccaloni et al. (2008).
