The dorsal side of the wings this species shows color between gray and blue, but in general the ventral surface is observed. In Manaus the adult was often recorded feed on flowers of Stachytarpheta cayennensis .

A list of plant species is recorded in Brazil, and the larvae feed on flowers and flower buds (Beccaloni et al. 2008).
