Natural History:

At Neotropics are registered 12 subspecies of Morpho deidamia (Lamas, 2004). The ventral surface of the wings shows variations in the drawings, diversifying the characteristic pattern, and several of these forms were collected in central Amazonia. It's a species of understory and can be collected in traps fruit in sparse periods (from April to November). Males and females are attracted to fermented fruit.
