Natural History:

In the Neotropical region are recorded 3 species in the genus SelenophanesSelenophanes josephusSelenophanes supremus and Selenophanes cassiope with 10 subspecies (Lamas, 2004).

This species can be collected in the canopy and understory of the forest , but has rare occurrence in the Amazon central. There are few studies on the biology of this species.
